When entering Edinburgh following signs for "city centre" and "attractions". You can approach from Johnstone Terrace, The Mound leading to Bank Street, George IV Bridge and the Lawnmarket. There is a multi story car park on Castle Terrace - top level, Kings Stables Road - bottom level.
