Amber restaurant's menus combine the best of traditional Scottish flavours and ingredients in unique and exciting dishes to delight the palate.

Our team of chefs source all of our food with a painstaking eye for quality. Our menus change with the seasons and all of our food reflects the regional diversity of Scotland's larder.

Choose from our famous Scottish Tapas to Scottish beef, fish, seafood and vegetarian dishes.

With our own Whisky Bar we always have someone on hand to help you find the best Whisky to match with your food (we also have a wine list!).

Sample dishes from our Daytime menu include:

Scottish smoked salmon served with homemade soda bread and lemon
Cherry tomato upside down tart with tarragon and chicory salad (v)
Stornaway black pudding bon-bons with spiced pork belly, baby herbs and fig dressing
Steamed Orkney mussels with Islay Whisky cream sauce (gluten-free)

Lamb Stovies - a traditional Scottish dish with lamb, onions and potatoes
Beef, mushroom and stout casserole served with sour dough bread

Smoked haddock with an Isle of Mull cheddar glaze, crushed potatoes and a wild herb pesto

Pressed terrine of wild mountain hare with sourdough toasts and homemade piccalilli
Salmon gravlax with Arran mustard and aged malt Whisky, soda bread and lemon
Seared West Coast scallops with roast shallot puree and caramelised cauliflower (gluten-free)
Cherry tomato upside-down tart with tarragon and baby leaves (v)

Pan fried sea trout with wilted greens in a langoustine and barley broth
Lamb rump with a broad bean, baby onion and bacon casserole served with minted potato dumplings
Goats cheese parcels with stir fried spring greens and a pickled walnut dressing
Griddled sirloin of beef with roast new potatoes, Amber Whisky and shallot butter and watercress salad (gluten-free)
Guinea fowl breast with skirlie, spinach and glazed carrots

Taste of Scotland
If you are looking to combine a Whisky tour at The Scotch Whisky Experience and an evening meal, our Taste of Scotland tour is perfect for you! This includes our Platinum Whisky tour plus a three-course Scottish food experience. The food tasting includes a selection of bite sized Scottish tapas to enjoy as a starter, a taster of Scottish main dishes followed by your dessert which is matched with a dram of Scotch Whisky. The whole tasting experience provides a true taste of the best of Scottish cuisine. The Taste of Scotland menu can also be booked without the tour.
